About me

My name is Thea

I'm the founder of Pawsitive Behaviour & Training — offering online training and behaviour support to both shelters and private clients, wherever you are in the world.

I’m an accredited dog trainer and behaviourist (PCT-A with the Pet Professional Guild), currently studying Level 5 & 6 in Applied Canine Behaviour.

I specialise in rescue dogs, especially those from overseas, who often need a more tailored and empathetic approach to training and rehabilitation.

My journey started in Thailand as a volunteer at Lanta Animal Welfare, and since then, I’ve worked with rescue organisations in both Thailand and Vietnam, where I’ve been involved in everything from hands-on rescue and outreach, to training, adoption support, fundraising, and fostering

Before working in animal welfare, I spent years in hospitality management, which gave me strong people skills, organisation, and resilience — all of which I now bring to my work with dogs and their humans.

I support dogs dealing with fear, anxiety, reactivity, aggression, and resource guarding, using kind, force-free methods tailored to each individual dog. I also help teach everyday skills like loose leash walking, recall, sit, and so much more — all with a focus on building confidence and trust between you and your dog.

Helping rescue dogs build confidence, recover from trauma, and thrive in their new lives is what I’m most passionate about. I believe when we give animals a second chance, they give us something just as powerful in return.

I specialise in providing tailor made monthly support for you and your best friend, this can be anything from basic skills to help set you and your doggo up for a successful journey together, settling in a new rescue or puppy to dogs with more complex behavioural needs

Addressing more complex issues

Understanding the root cause for fearful or trauma affected dogs is fundamentally important. I don't believe in aversives or quick fixes and want to help you and your dog work through the fear together which will not only improve life for both you and your dog, but ultimately strengthen your bond

Puppy

Young dogs are welcome.

Our puppy training focuses on foundational skills, including early socialisation and basic commands, essential for their future development. The settling in period and how to set up your ex street foreign rescue pup for success in it's new loving home environment

Shelter

Team and management training

We all want to help the rescue animals but often with small shelters it is impossible to hire a full time behaviourist as part of the team...this is where I come in.

I can create custom plans for online shelter consultation including individual dog training plans, team training via video call, online behavioural advice via WhatsApp, online training packs for staff including canine body language and identifying stress signals. as well as much much more.
